Help: Configure PostScript Downloads
PostScript is available for articles published from 1996 to 2002*. The PostScript files provided by the Electronic Journals service are compressed in order to save time when downloading them to your computer. If you are logged into EJs and using a unix workstation (e.g. Sun SPARCstation), you can configure your browser software to decompress the files during download so that the PostScript file can be passed to a suitable application (e.g. Ghostview). If you would like to decompress files during download, you will need to enable this option by checking the checkbox within this section. Once you have defined your setting, save it by pressing the Save Setting button at the foot of the page. To update this setting at a later date, return to this page to make the desired change and save it again.
Because this feature is platform-specific, it will not be useful to everyone. None of the functionality of the Electronic Journals service will be lost if you cannot use this option since every care is taken to use technology that is accessible to all users.
This option is listed on the User Options page.
* PostScript is available for Journal of High Energy Physics (JHEP) articles from 1997 onwards.
